Spanish giants Barcelona will take on Premier League outfit Arsenal in the second leg of the Champions League last-16 tie at Camp Nou on Wednesday evening.
Luis Enrique’s side won the first leg of the tie 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium in North London last month.
Owen has backed Barcelona to win on Wednesday evening and progress to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
“Arsenal travel to the Nou Camp as 33/1 outsiders to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League but realistically they are even more unlikely on paper and would need a minor miracle to turn the Catalans over in their own backyard,” the former England international striker wrote on Betvictor.com.
“Barcelona are the 1/5 favourites to win the return leg on home soil, but are in a similar position to Manchester City and can afford the luxury of sitting back and being patient throughout the 90.
“Arsene Wenger’s side will struggle to shut-out a front-three of Messi, Suarez and Neymar that have collectively netted 100+ goals already this term and look likely to fire them to victory against the Gunners.”
A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation; Barcelona to win to nil at 23/20.”
Barcelona are the best club side in the world at the moment and are imperious at home.
Having lost the first leg 2-0 at the Emirates, Arsenal have given themselves virtually no chance of going through.
An early goal for the Gunners at Camp Nou could make things a bit tricky for the Catalan giants, but Barca do have the quality to come from behind and register a comfortable win.
