Leicester beat Newcastle United 1-0 on Monday night, with Gary Lineker taking to Twitter to praise the performance of midfielder N'Golo Kante.
The Foxes had their lead at the top cut to two points on Sunday after Tottenham's 2-0 win over Aston Villa, and needed a win over relegation-threatened Newcastle to open up a five point lead again.
Claudio Ranieri's men did just that, and whilst they only had one shot on target, that was all they needed, as Shinji Okazaki's superb overhead kick handed Leicester all three points at the King Power Stadium.
Leicester are moving closer and closer to a stunning Premier League title win, and whilst the likes of Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy have been sensational, the praise has been pouring in for midfielder N'Golo Kante.
The Frenchman, who joined from Caen last summer, has been incredible in the heart of the Leicester midfield, providing non-stop energy as well as an abundance of interceptions and tackles in a number of all-action performances for the Foxes.
The 24-year-old has been compared to the legendary Claude Makelele, and now Gary Lineker - a Leicester fan, former Foxes striker and current Match of the Day Host - has offered his thoughts on Kante's performance against Newcastle.
Lineker took to Twitter to state that he thinks Kante is an 'unbelievably good player', praises his energy and reading of the game after yet another outstanding display.
Kanté is an unbelievably good player. He is everywhere and reads the game brilliantly.— Gary Lineker (@GaryLineker) March 14, 2016
