Wenger has come under heavy criticism of late as the Gunners find themselves out of the FA Cup, 11 points shy of Premier League leaders Leicester City and on the verge of a Champions League exit.
But Enrique remains a big admirer of the Frenchman, and insists his achievements in North London are impossible to replicate at Barcelona especially in the modern era.
"I don't think anyone has ever been here [as coach] 20 years, or, if they have, it is impossible in the modern era," Enrique said.
"It means the level of Arsene Wenger as a manager cannot be doubted. Only the best can be in the one place for so long due to their level and also because they have the desire to continue. In my case, I think it is impossible."
Wenger has been in charge of Arsenal for 20 years now, rebuilding a number of squads and keeping the club in the top four despite competing against the financial powers of Chelsea and Manchester City.
The former Monaco boss, however, is gradually losing the support of the Arsenal crowd as another season of missed opportunities draws to a close with their chances of silverware slim to say the least.
The football at the Emirates Stadium has always been among the most exciting in Europe, yet only two trophies in the last ten years isn’t good enough for a club of their size.
Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City all wouldn’t put up with such little return, but Arsenal do and questions have to be asked why.
