Tottenham youngster said he was embarrassed at the way his side lost to Norwich City.
Tottenham under-21 star Luke Amos pulled no punches after his team lost at Norwich City on Friday evening.
Speaking to the club's official website, the central midfielder described the 2-1 loss to the Canaries as 'embarrassing'.
Spurs had slipped to a two goal deficit before forward Will Miller netted a consolation goal in the 89th minute.
Versatile star Amos, felt the team let down the fans who came to watch, especially after witnessing the support the fans have for the first team in the North London derby last weekend.
He said: "To start off with we’re very embarrassed. We’ve played Norwich here at White Hart Lane and we’ve not played the way we wanted to. The aim was to go out onto the pitch and win well but we’ve failed to do that tonight which is very disappointing.
"It’s especially disappointing after being here last weekend for the Arsenal game and hearing the fans, who absolutely love the club. We’re disappointed tonight that we couldn’t put on a performance."
Amos deserves credit for stepping up and speaking so frankly, but the team were not helped by a red card given to captain Kyle Walker-Peters who picked up two bookings.
Amos, 19, is an England youth international who stepped up from under-18 to under-21 football last season. He can play in both central midfield, left-back, and centre-back, making 17 appearances for the under-21s this campaign, featuring in all three positions.
