The Watford captain drew the praise of the pundit after yet another commanding performance v Arsenal.
Robbie Savage feels Watford skipper Troy Deeney was 'brilliant' against Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.
Adlene Guedioura and Odion Ighalo were in and among the goals at the Emirates Stadium as Watford beat the Gunners 2-1 in north London.
But Deeney delivered a real captain's display, impressing many onlookers at Arsenal - including Savage.
The pundit sent the 27-year-old a message on Twitter after his performance, with a grateful Deeney responding shortly afterwards:
Thank you very much it's appreciated https://t.co/wnoRXb2ORy

Deeney has been sensational for Watford this season - just like last campaign - and how Arsenal could do with a leader like the 27-year-old right now.
Arsene Wenger's men are in freefall this term but the Hornets are flying high.
Who would be best for Watford in the FA Cup semi-finals? Roberto Martinez's Everton side? West Ham or Manchester United?
Or would Watford be better off facing Crystal Palace at Wembley, in an attempt to avenge their last defeat to the same team in the same stadium?
