Ray Clemence reacts on Twitter to Dougie Freedman sacking

Dougie Freedman is no longer the Nottingham Forest manager.

Former Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Ray Clemence has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Nottingham Forest’s decision to sack Dougie Freedman on Sunday.

Freedman was dismissed as the Forest manager just a day after the 3-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday at the City Ground in the Championship.

Clemence, who is a well-respected figure in the footballing community and is one of the greatest goalkeepers to have ever played in England, has criticised the Reds.

The former England international has pointed out a startling fact about the sacking of managers by Forest in recent years.

Freedman’s dismissal will have come as a surprise to many, despite Forest’s recent disappointing results.

The Reds are unlikely to get relegated from the Championship, and they are going to miss out on the playoffs as well.

What was Freedman to achieve with the current group of players that he has, especially as Forest are under an embargo?
