Tottenham Hotspur beat Aston Villa 2-0 yesterday, to move to within three points of league leaders Leicester City.
Kane scored both of Tottenham’s goals, as they cruised past Remi Garde’s side at Villa Park yesterday.
The 22-year-old forward netted his first when he latched on to a Dele Alli free-kick before slotting the ball beyond Brad Guzan. He then added his second by getting on the end of a Alli cross and powering home.
Kane was a threat throughout the contest, and both Hazard and Ardiles were delighted with the role he played in helping their former side collect the three points.
Very good performance should have got more goals as goal difference could play a big part, Harry on song and 2 fullbacks were superb COYSSS— Micky Hazard (@1MickyHazard) March 13, 2016
Kane actually could have had more goals against Villa, had he have been more ruthless in front of goal.
The England international spurned a few good opportunities in the first half, but he still put in a wonderful display.
Kane is now on 22 goals for the season, and he has been pivotal in helping Mauricio Pochettino’s side keep up their title push.
Tottenham are now only three points behind Leicester City at the top of the Premier League table, but Claudio Ranieri’s do play against Newcastle United later this evening.
