Michael Vaughan reacts strongly on Twitter to Dougie Freedman sacking

Sheffield Wednesday fan Michael Vaughan does not back Nottingham Forest’s decision to sack Dougie Freedman.

Former England international cricketer Michael Vaughan has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Nottingham Forest’s decision to sack Dougie Freedman on Sunday.

Freedman was dismissed as the Forest manager just a day after the 3-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday at the City Ground in the Championship.

Vaughan, who is a Wednesday fan, does not agree with the Reds’ decision.

Freedman was in charge of Forest for just 13 months, and it seems that the club hierarchy were not happy with him.

The Scotsman replaced Stuart Pearce as the Reds boss in February 2015 and won 19 of the 57 games he was in charge of.

First-team coach Paul Williams will be in charge of Forest until the end of the season.

The Reds are 14th in the Championship table at the moment with 45 points from 36 matches.

Forest are nine points above the relegation zone and 14 behind Wednesday, who are currently sixth in the standings and occupy the final playoff spot.
