Manchester United and West Ham United played out a 1-1 draw in the FA Cup on Sunday.

Michael Owen has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his admiration of West Ham United.

The former Liverpool striker was impressed with the way West Ham performed against his old club Manchester United on Sunday evening.

The Hammers played out a 1-1 draw with Premier League rivals United in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup at Old Trafford.

The result means that the tie will be decided after a replay at the Boleyn Ground in London.

Owen was impressed with West Ham and has given his verdict on the final result at Old Trafford.

“Great game at Old Trafford,” the former England international wrote on Sportlobster.com. “Probably a fair result too. More and more impressed by West Ham every time I see them.”

West Ham were truly brilliant against United and actually took the lead at Old Trafford.

The Hammers will be favourites to win the replay, and one should not be surprised if they go all way in the FA Cup this season.

Slaven Bilic’s side are also in the running for a top-four finish in the Premier League this campaign.

Things could not have been better for West Ham.
