Bamford has joined Norwich on loan from Chelsea until the end of the season, but he is yet to make much of an impression at Carrow Road.
The 22-year-old made his first start for Norwich in their match against Manchester City last Saturday, but Le Tissier is yet to be convinced by the Chelsea youngster.
Bamford was also on loan at Crystal Palace earlier in the season where he struggled to receive an opportunity, and Le Tissier is confused as to why he cannot get a game.
"There’s got be a massive question marks over him," the Southampton legend said. "At Palace, they didn’t have a centre forward who scored a goal from open play until after Christmas, and he still couldn’t get a start.
"It’s very odd. I’m not sure what the managers see in him in training, to suggest he can’t start a football match."
Bamford has made 10 Premier League appearances in his career, but he is yet to hit the back of the net.
The England youth international has been prolific in the Championship, but he is yet to prove he has the capabilities to make it at the top level.
His performance against Manchester City was encouraging, though, as he looked bright throughout.
Bamford hit the crossbar with a long range effort, and he may have done enough to secure his spot in Alex Neil’s starting line-up for the coming weeks with his display.
