Tottenham returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a 2-0 triumph over Villa away from home at Villa Park.
England international striker Harry Kane broke the deadlock on the stroke of half time and added a second just three minutes into the second half.
Former Spurs defender Roberts was following the game, and he was impressed with the performance of the 22-year-old.
The former Rangers man has also boldly claimed on Twitter that Kane could win the Golden Boot this season as well as become Tottenham’s top goalscorer of all time.
@HKane can get this golden boot this year looked very fresh today top class— Graham Roberts (@GrahamRoberts4) March 13, 2016
Just thinking what astory @HKane is 22 proper goalscorer loves the clubcould actually see him being spurs top ever goalscorer wayhis going— Graham Roberts (@GrahamRoberts4) March 13, 2016
Although Jimmy greaves will be a incredible challenge to beat it @HKane will give it his all!!— Graham Roberts (@GrahamRoberts4) March 13, 2016
Kane is having a good season, and just like during the 2014-15 campaign, the youngster is banging in the goals.
The Englishman has scored 19 goals and created 35 chances in 30 Premier League appearances so far this season.
While Kane could end up as the Premier League’s top goalscorer this campaign, it is a bit premature to suggest that he could become the highest ever goalscorer in Spurs’ history.
