The Nottingham Forest owner has taken to social media.

Nottingham Forest owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi has taken to Twitter to announce that Andy Reid will assist with the club's first-team coaching until the end of the season.

Dougie Freedman was sacked on Sunday afternoon after a 3-0 home defeat to Sheffield Wednesday - and the club look like they will only appoint a new manager next season.

A caretaker coach is in place until the end of the current campaign but injury-hit first-team midfielder Reid will also assist with coaching.

The Nottingham Forest owner took to social media to make the announcement on Monday afternoon:

There has been a mixed reception to Freedman's sacking.

Many have criticised the Nottingham Forest boss for quite some time, while Crystal Palace and Bolton Wanderers fans have also had their say.

Generally, though, the feeling is that Forest have acted very harshly with the coach and that Al-Hasawi has made another questionable managerial decision.
