Sheffield Wednesday won against Nottingham Forest in the Championship on Saturday.

Sheffield Wednesday fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to have their say on the performance of Aiden McGeady against Nottingham Forest.

McGeady, who joined Wednesday on loan from Premier League outfit Everton in the January transfer window, started the Championship game at the City Ground and played for 73 minutes.

The Republic of Ireland international winger played an important role in the Owls’ 3-0 victory, opening the scoring on the half-hour mark.

The 29-year-old took three shots, had a pass accuracy of 79%, created two chances, put in three crosses, attempted six dribbles, and made two interceptions and two blocks.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at the City Ground on Saturday afternoon, hosts Forest had 50% of the possession, took 14 shots of which five were on target, and earned eight corners.

Visitors Wednesday had 50% of the possession, took 15 shots of which eight were on target, and earned five corners.
