Questions over Manchester City’s top four chances, says Thierry Henry

Manuel Pellegrini's side drew 0-0 with Norwich City on Saturday.

There are now questions over whether Manchester City can finish in the top four, Thierry Henry has told Sky Sports.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side were hugely disappointing on Saturday afternoon as they failed to beat Norwich City at Carrow Road.

The result left them fourth in the table, nine points behind leaders Leicester City with nine games remaining of the season.

They are nervously looking over their shoulders though with West Ham United just two points behind in fifth, and Henry says there are now questions over their ability to secure a top four place.

"They're trying to get back in the title race and need goals for that,” he told Sky Sports.

"They started with two strikers for a reason [but] they touched the ball in the area four times, and it was all Aguero.”

"I think it's Leicester's to lose. We were saying before the game: 'Can Manchester City win the title?' I think the question now is: 'Can they stay in the top four?'"

City’s top four place is certainly in danger as the season reaches its conclusion, especially given West Ham’s current form.

They are flying under Slaven Bilic once again and with the likes of Dimitri Payet in fine form, are firmly eyeing up a potential place in the top four.

In contrast, City appear to be winding down as they wait for Pep Guardiola’s arrival at the club in the summer.

That will be worrying to their fans, who will know Guardiola will not relish turning up without Champions League football secured.
