Pundit Rodney Marsh watched Harry Kane score both of Tottenham's goals in the 2-0 win over Aston Villa today - and believes he is now worth as much as £120m.
It was England international Kane who stole the headlines again, first firing past Brad Guzan from a tight angle following a quick free-kick from Dele Alli, before the pair linked up again in the second half, with Kane converting into the top corner from Alli's pinpoint pass.
The result took Spurs back to within two points of league leaders Leicester City, with Kane taking his goal tally for the season to 22 - prompting great praise from pundit Rodney Marsh.
Almost a year ago, Marsh told talkSPORT that he felt Kane was worth £100m, considering his age and the amount of goals he scored for Spurs last term, when he finished up with 31 goals to his name.
Now, Marsh has taken to Twitter to post his updated valuation of Kane, claiming the Tottenham hero is now worth £120m - a fee which would clearly make him the most expensive player in history, eclipsing the £86m Real Madrid paid to snatch Gareth Bale from Spurs in 2013.
Daniel Levy would receive criticism if he sold Kane, no matter what fee was, given that he has such a connection with the Tottenham fans, but a fee of £120m, as Marsh suggests below, would be hard to reject for Levy, if any club had the funds to offer such an astronomical amount of money.
