Rangers star shares his appreciation of Manchester United ace

David de Gea

Rangers goalkeeper Wes Foderingham was impressed with David de Gea’s performance for Manchester United against Liverpool on Thursday.

Rangers star Wes Foderingham has stated on social networking site Twitter that he thinks that David de Gea is the best goalkeeper in the world.

The 25-year-old, who joined Rangers in the summer of 2015, made the comment during the Europa League tie between Liverpool and Manchester United on Thursday evening.

De Gea started the Europa League last-16 first-leg tie for United against Liverpool and played for the entire 90 minutes.

The Spain international was arguably the best player for the Red Devils in the 2-0 defeat, making as many as six saves over the course of the 90 minutes.

Foderingham was following the game, and he was impressed with the performance of De Dea.

Foderingham himself has been in good form for Rangers this season, having established himself as the first-choice goalkeeper for the Gers.

Rangers are at the top of the Scottish Championship table at the moment with 72 points from 28 matches, 14 points clear of second-placed Falkirk with a game in hand.
