Nottingham Forest supporters have had a mixed reaction to the news that Dougie Freedman has been sacked.
Forest have parted company with Freedman after a run of one win in six matches.
The Reds lost 3-0 to Sheffield Wednesday yesterday and that result seems to have been the final straw for owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi.
Some Forest fans have agreed with the decision to part company with Freedman, as they felt the Scottish boss was under-performing.
The Reds are stuck in the bottom half of the Championship table and there has been a lack of entertainment on display at the City Ground.
More patient Forest supporters have shown sympathy with Freedman, however, due to the financial constraints he was working under.
Freedman was operating under a transfer embargo, and Forest also have had awful luck with injuries during his time in charge.
The Reds have now not had a manger in charge for a whole season since 2010/11, and many Forest fans are concerned about the lack of stability.
Here is the best reaction to Freedman’s sacking on social media site Twitter.
Really think Freedman getting sacked is harsh and I haven't said that about a manager going since Billy the first time. Maybe SO'D #nffc— Bala (@DizzyBala) March 13, 2016
For all his faults it's difficult to feel pleased about Freedman getting sacked when the real problem is still at the club. #nffc— Joseph Burns (@retlivdead) March 13, 2016
Forest sack Freedman! What an utter joke of a football club we are. Fawaz is single handedly destroying our club. A sad day for #NFFC— James Taylor (@JamesP_Taylor) March 13, 2016
Tough decision to sack Dougie Freedman, but a massive dip in form proves to be detrimental. Results based business is football. #NFFC— Elliott Cuff (@CuffWrites) March 13, 2016
Ridiculous. It may have been dull but Freedman did what was necessary to keep us safe while under embargo. Why sack now? #nffc— Matt Doherty (@MattDockers) March 13, 2016
No sense in Freedman's coaches taking over for the rest of the season. May as well kept him til an actual replacement was found #nffc— Psycho Jay (@forest_jay) March 13, 2016
Think apathy was starting to set in under Freedman but we can't keep picking the wrong manager then sacking him a year later #nffc— Jonathan (@Jonathan_Clegg8) March 13, 2016
running of a club. Only his bank balance is beneficial to the club, and even that has been diluted through chronic mismanagement.— Daniel Storey (@danielstorey85) March 13, 2016
