Everton, West Ham United, Manchester United, Watford and Crystal Palace all still have hopes of winning the FA Cup.
Michael Owen has reminded his followers on Twitter that he predicted that Everton would win the FA Cup at the start of the season.
The Toffees booked their place in the semi-finals of the competition on Saturday by beating Chelsea 2-0 at Goodison Park.
Everton’s performance in the contest suggested that they were taking the cup competition very seriously this season, with their Premier League form being a disappointment.
Everton scored both their goals through Romelu Lukaku to book their place at Wembley, much to the delight of their supporters.
And Owen seems to think that Everton have a good chance of winning the FA Cup this season, although he admits that it will be hard to predict.
Predictions nearly impossible to make in this crazy season but I did say Everton to win The FA Cup back in August!— michael owen (@themichaelowen) March 13, 2016
The success of Everton’s season is likely to be defined by how well they perform in the FA Cup.
The Toffees have under-performed in league action, but if they are able to win the cup competition it will make up for their poor Premier League showing.
Everton have been joined in the semi-finals by Watford and Crystal Palace, while Manchester United and West Ham United will have to contest a replay to finalise the last four.
