Manchester United 1-1 West Ham United: Payet dazzles again, draw sets up replay

Old Trafford Olympics

Manchester United drew 1-1 with West Ham United at Old Trafford.

Manchester United and West Ham United will meet in an FA Cup replay after the two sides drew 1-1 at Old Trafford this afternoon.

The Red Devils were looking for a response after losing 2-0 to Liverpool in the Europa League on Thursday night, but faced a tough task against a buoyant West Ham side.

After more than an hour without a goal, Louis van Gaal's men fell behind to yet another stunning goal from West Ham star Dimitri Payet.

The Frenchman has been simply sensational throughout the season, and again underlined his quality with an inch perfect free kick from 30 yards, beating David de Gea via the post.

United then toiled away in search of an equaliser, and with just seven minutes to play, Anthony Martial swooped to clinch an equalising goal for Van Gaal's side.

That means that the two sides have to go through  a replay at Upton Park to determine who will join Crystal Palace, Everton and Watford in the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

This is a somewhat similar situation to when West Ham took Liverpool back to Upton Park and claimed a dramatic 2-1 victory - and fans will want the same again this time around.
