Joey Barton in awe of how Kane compensates for lack of pace, praises Danny Rose

The Burnley midfielder has been analysing Tottenham's 2-0 win on Sunday afternoon.

Joey Barton is in awe of Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane and how he uses space to make up for his lack of pace, according to Match of the Day 2.

Indeed, the Burnley midfielder heaped praise on Kane on Sunday, following the two goals he scored in the Midlands in the afternoon.

He also praised Danny Rose for his role in getting forward for the White Hart Lane outfit. suggesting he is the perfect example of being a good full-back

Barton told the BBC on Sunday night: "Harry Kane doesn’t have searing pace but his movement is phenomenal. If you’re a young striker, he’s a joy to watch. You’ve got to watch him. He’s always operating in the ‘anti-space’ in between defenders.

"Danny Rose was involved helping him, showing what all good full-backs should do."

Both Kane and Rose have stood out for Spurs so far this season and it's been a great campaign for so many at Tottenham already - regardless of the outcome of the next few weeks.

The north London side look set for a top-four finish, of course, barring a miraculous collapse.

But it's the title Tottenham fans will still want. The ball is in Leicester City's court but Mauricio Pochettino's men could be ready to pounce on any slip-up.
