Karanka did not not take take training on Saturday morning and will not be in charge of Middlesbrough’s Championship game against Charlton Athletic away from home at The Valley on Sunday afternoon, as announced on the club’s official website.
According to The Daily Mail, the Spanish coach walked out of Friday’s training session following an argument at a team meeting.
Balague has claimed on Twitter that the Middlesbrough players want the former Real Madrid defender to stay at the Riverside Stadium.

Middlesbrough’s recent form has not been good, but they remain in a great position to finish in the top two of the Championship this season.
Boro are second in the league table at the moment with 67 points from 35 matches, seven points behind leaders Burnley but with two games in hand.
