Sir Geoff Hurst and Manuel Lanzini in total agreement about Dimitri Payet

Upton Park

The West Ham legend and current playmaker have been discussing the Frenchman.

Manuel Lanzini has heaped praise on West Ham United team-mate Dimitri Payet, according to the London Evening Standard.

Indeed, Lanzini feels the Frenchman is capable of changing games all by himself and always looks forward to playing alongside him.

The Argentine is quoted as saying by the Standard: "He is capable of changing a game on his own. We all put our confidence in him and given the way we both play, I always look to link up with Dimitri. Together, we try to drive the team forward."

Meanwhile, West Ham legend Sir Geoff Hurst has also waxed lyrical about the 28-year-old playmaker, according to the Daily Mirror.

Payet has registered assists galore, scored several superb free-kicks and created a huge number of chances this season.

And Hurst is quoted as saying by the Mirror: "We have a little gem in that player. He has been outstanding.

"He has a chance of winning the Footballer of the Year Award or PFA Award. He has been absolutely brilliant. He is creating and scoring goals, an absolute top-class player."

The praise has absolutely poured in for Payet this season and rightly so. But could the Hammers playmaker be about to unleash his finest West Ham moment yet?

A win for West Ham at Old Trafford would be simply huge and the biggest contenders for the FA Cup are all now teams Slaven BIlic's men have already beaten this season...
