Everton beat Chelsea 2-0 in the FA Cup this evening.

Everton are into the semi-finals of the FA Cup after a 2-0 win over Premier League rivals Chelsea at Goodison Park this evening.

The Toffees, who beat Bournemouth 2-0 in the last round to set up tonight's clash, have now joined Crystal Palace in the last four of the competition, with Arsenal and Watford, and Manchester United and West Ham playing on Sunday to complete the last four.

The hero of the night was, without doubt, striker Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian international, 22, has now racked up 21 goals in all competitions this season, with his brace tonight downing his former club.

Lukaku opened the scoring with a stunning goal, taking the ball past a host of Chelsea defenders before slotting into the back of the net.

The ex-Chelsea man then smashed home from the right hand side of the box after a through ball from Ross Barkley, sealing Everton's win, before Diego Costa and Gareth Barry were both sent off.

After Lukaku's incredible opener, pundits were falling over themselves to praise the striker, suggesting that it was one of the goals of the season.

Former Everton striker Gary Lineker called the goal 'sensational', with Alan Shearer raving about Lukaku's pace and power. Robbie Savage tipped the strike for goal of the season, whilst Stan Collymore went as far to say that it was a world class goal.

Here are some of the reactions from pundits on Twitter after Lukaku scored his outstanding solo goal against Chelsea this evening...
