Leeds United defeated Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park this afternoon.
Leeds United are celebrating their third straight win in the Championship after a 2-1 triumph over Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.
Sol Bamba scored a rare goal from a Leeds corner to give them the lead before Mirco Antenucci scored yet again to continue his fine form.
Simeon Jackson scored late on to give Leeds a nervy finish but they held on to secure their third win on the trot - the first time they have won three in a row since February 2015.
The result takes Leeds into the top half of the table, at least for the next few hours.
One man who was clearly over the moon with the result was former Leeds United striker Noel Whelan. Speaking on the BBC as part of the match coverage for the game he had this to say about Leeds' performance:
"We've seen it so many times with Leeds but they thoroughly deserved that victory, even if they made it difficult for themselves at the end.
"Three wins back-to-back is a fantastic achievement. It's a fantastic win.
"We bullied them, we won every ball in midfield and we were strong. We played better football when we had to."
Leeds were brilliant once again. Manager Steve Evans seems to have struck a good balance in the team now and if they can pick up a fourth win in a row against Huddersfield Town in the Yorkshire derby next week then Leeds fans might dare to dream again.
