The 31-year-old turned out for the Reds' young side against Manchester United on Friday night.
Liverpool fans reacted sarcastically on Twitter as Martin Skrtel turned out for the club's Under-21s side against Manchester United on Friday night.
Skrtel featured alongside Jordon Ibe as the Reds could only draw 1-1 with United's Under-21s - despite Jerome Sinclair's goal for Liverpool.
And many fans were, firstly, unimpressed that the centre-back has once again shaved his head! Secondly, they responded to the fact Skrtel could be returning from injury with a bit of negativity.
Indeed, it just so happens Liverpool have improved significantly at the back without Skrtel and several fans don't want the 31-year-old back in the starting line-up.
Dejan Lovren was named man of the match against Crystal Palace recently, while even Lucas Leiva shone out of position at centre-back in the Capital One Cup final. Throw Mamadou Sakho into the mix and you have a tough decision to make... should Skrtel make it back into Jurgen Klopp's starting XI?
@LFC what a young talent! Promote him to first team— Alper Erdoğan (@AlperrErdogann) March 11, 2016
