West Ham United will face Manchester United in the FA Cup on Sunday.

West Ham United co-chairman David Gold has revealed on social networking site Twitter that Winston Reid will not feature against Manchester United on Sunday evening.

Reid, who has been on the books of West Ham since 2010, has been out of action for a month with a hamstring injury.

Although the New Zealand international defender has returned to full training, Gold has ruled him out of playing any part in the FA Cup quarter-final tie against United away from home at Old Trafford on Sunday evening.

West Ham will head into the game against United on the back of a stunning 3-2 victory over Everton away from home at Goodison Park in the Premier League.

The Hammers will fancy their chances of winning against United despite being the visiting team.

Manager Slaven Bilic is likely to field a strong team against the Red Devils, and it should not come as a surprise if the London outfit progress to the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
