Confirmed Celtic line-up v Partick Thistle: Mulgrew starts, Roberts on the bench

Here is how Celtic line up to take on Partick Thistle this afternoon...

Celtic starting line-up: Gordon; Lustig, Sviatchenko, Mulgrew, Tierney; McGregor, Brown, Bitton; Commons, Griffiths, Mackay-Steven.

Celtic substitutes: Fasan, Ambrose, Armstrong, Forrest, Roberts, Kazim-Richards, Rogic.

Celtic make the short trip across Glasgow this afternoon as they take on Partick Thistle at Firhill Stadium, with the push for the Scottish Premiership title continuing.

The Bhoys beat Morton 3-0 in the Scottish Cup last weekend, but are now back in league action as they look to fend off title challengers Aberdeen.

Manager Ronny Deila is under pressure, and needs to win the title this season to stand any chance of keeping his job beyond the end of this season.

Today, the Norwegian has handed a start to Charlie Mulgrew in the centre of defence, with a midfield three of Scott Brown, Nir Bitton and Callum McGregor.

Kris Commons and Gary Mackay-Steven will support Leigh Griffiths in attack, with four attacking midfielders left on the bench in Stuart Armstrong, James Forrest, Patrick Roberts and Tom Rogic all substitutes.

January signing Colin Kazim-Richards is also on the bench, alongside young goalkeeper Leo Fasan, who replaces Logan Bailly in the matchday 18.
