Huddersfield Town are closing in on the loan signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Rajiv van La Parra with the player undergoing a medical at the John Smith's Stadium, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Huddersfield have held a long-term interest in van La Parra and tried to sign the Dutchman in the January transfer window, only for Wolves to reject several offers for the 24-year-old.
Van la Parra had a spell out on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion earlier this season, where he scored two goals in six appearances for the Seagulls during his month-long stint at the club.
The skilful wide man won his place back in Kenny Jackett's plans after returning from his loan spell, but he has not featured in the match-day squad for the last two games against Derby County and Middlesbrough.
Wolves are willing to let the 24-year-old move on as he does not figure in Jackett's long-term plans.
The former Holland Under-21 international joined Wolves on a free transfer in the summer of 2014 from Heerenveen and has made over 50 appearances for the club.
If van la Parra impresses during his loan stint until the end of the season the move could be made permanent to Huddersfield.
