Richard Keys reacts strongly on Twitter to Steve McClaren sacking

Steve McClaren

Steve McClaren is no longer the Newcastle United head coach.

Well-known sports presenter Richard Keys has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to the sacking of Steve McClaren by Newcastle United.

McClaren has been dismissed as the Newcastle head coach, with the Magpies yet to appoint his successor.

Keys has suggested on Twitter that the Premier League club’s manager director Lee Charnley should also have gone.

Former Queens Park Rangers and Manchester City forward Rodney Marsh has suggested on Twitter that Newcastle made the right decision by sacking McClaren.

Newcastle are second from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment and are in real danger of going down to the Championship at the end of the season.

The Magpies are struggling for points and for good performances at the moment, and it made sense for the club to dismiss McClaren.

The Englishman is a very good coach and a good manager, but he simply failed to find solutions to the problems in his team.
