Wolves will take on Birmingham at Molineux in the league on Sunday afternoon.
“Aside from a 2-1 home win against Derby, and an injury-time winner at home to Bristol City on Tuesday night, Wolves have been in poor form for the best part of two months, and they have a distinctly average record in front of their own fans, too,” Owen wrote on Colossusbets.com.
“But they won 2-0 at Birmingham in October and the good news for them is that their opponents also blow hot and cold, for all that they beat high-flying Hull 1-0 last week.
“A 2-0 defeat at Blackburn on Tuesday night was obviously very disappointing. I find this a hard game to call, so I will go with 1-1.”
Wolves are 12th in the Championship table at the moment with 46 points from 26 matches.
Kenny Jackett’s side are as many as 10 points behind Sheffield Wednesday, who are currently sixth in the standings and occupy the final playoff spot.
It is looking unlikely that The Wanderers will finish in the top six of the Championship this season.
As for Birmingham, they are going strong and could clinch a playoff spot by the end of the campaign.
Gary Rowett’s side are ninth in the Championship table at the moment with 54 points from 35 matches.
The Blues are just two points off the playoff places, and they are in good form at the moment.
It could be a season to remember for Birmingham.
