Ian Wright's Twitter reaction to De Gea performance sums up Liverpool's brilliance

David de Gea for Spain U21

The Reds beat Manchester United 2-0 at Anfield on Thursday night.

Liverpool are only halfway through to the Europa League quarter-finals. They know that after winning the first leg 2-0 against Manchester United.

But will they care?

The chances are they won't. For it would take a miraculous meltdown for Liverpool to be knocked out by Man United. That's not just because Jurgen Klopp's side played well. It's also because of how poor United were.

And Ian Wright's reaction on Twitter to David de Gea's performance summed up both Liverpool's brilliance and Manchester United's lifeless display.

Ray Clemence's tweet further backed that up. So dominant were Klopp's men that United could have been dead and buried in the tie without their Spanish maestro. And that's certainly not the first time that's been said...

Liverpool have every chance of a strong Europa League run should they avoid second-leg disaster against Manchester United.

There's also every chance of a Klopp - Borussia Dortmund reunion in the final. Dortmund are the team to avoid right now for whoever wants to reach the final, though. They are something else at the moment.
