Leeds United will take on Blackburn Rovers in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.
Noel Whelan predicted on The Noel Whelan Show on BBC Radio Leeds on Friday evening (broadcast from 6pm, March 11) that Leeds United will win against Blackburn Rovers this weekend.
Leeds will take on Blackburn away from home at Ewood Park in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.
The West Yorkshire outfit have won their last two games - 2-1 against Bolton Wanderers at Elland Road and 2-0 against Cardiff City away from home at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Former Leeds striker Whelan has backed the Whites to pick up all three points against Blackburn and make it three wins in a row in the Championship.
The Englishman has also suggested that Steve Evans’s side can finish in the top 10 of the Championship this season.
“I am going for three wins in a row,” said Whelan at the start of The Noel Whelan Show on BBC Radio Leeds on Friday evening (broadcast from 6pm, March 11).
“Well, I think it is,” said Whelan when asked if a top-10 finish is realistic now. “We have proven that we can match the best teams in this league on the day.”
“It’s very important now if we are going to finish in the top 10 that we build on these two wins and we go on a good run,” added the former Leeds man.
Despite being the visiting team, Leeds will fancy their chances of wining against Blackburn.
Having won their last two league games, the players will be high on confidence.
As for finishing in the top 10 of the Championship this season, it is realistic to suggest that the Whites can achieve that.
After all, Leeds are 15th in the league table at the moment with 44 points from 35 matches, just five points behind 10th-placed Preston North End, and have a game in hand.
