Arsenal fans have suggested on social networking site Twitter that the club should sign Marco Reus from Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window.
The supporters of the North London outfit made the suggestion following Reus’s performance for Dortmund against Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League on Thursday evening.
The 26-year-old, who can play as a winger, attacking midfielder or striker, started the first leg of the last-16 tie at Signal Iduna Park and played for 82 minutes.
The Germany international did not have a great game, but he scored two goals in the second half to guide Dortmund to a comfortable 3-0 victory.
Reus is one of the best players in Europe and was linked with a move to Arsenal in the summer of 2015.
According to a report in The Telegraph at July of last year, the Gunners were interested in signing the former Borussia Monchengladbach star (click here to read more).
It seems that many of the Arsenal fans still want the club to pursue a deal for Reus, who is under contract at Dortmund until June 2019.
