Tottenham teenager makes honest admission after defeat, teammate looks ahead

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to bounce back from the defeat to Borussia Dortmund with a win against Aston Villa.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Josh Onomah has admitted on the club’s official Twitter page that Borussia Dortmund were the better team on Thursday evening.

Spurs went down 3-0 to Dortmund away from home at Signal Iduna Park in the first leg of the Europa League last-16 tie.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang put the German side in the lead on the half-hour mark, and Marco Reus scored a brace after the break.

Onomah, who is only 18 years of age, started the game and played for the entire 90 minutes.

The teenager has admitted that Dortmund were the better team, while Tottenham central defender Toby Alderweireld has turned his focus towards the game against Aston Villa this weekend.

The 3-0 defeat will come as a massive disappointing for Tottenham, but they do have the chance to bounce back in style.

Spurs will take on Aston Villa away from home at Villa Park in the Premier League on Sunday evening.

With Villa rock bottom, anything other than a comfortable win for Tottenham would be a massive surprise.
