Queens Park Rangers comfortably beat Derby County yesterday.

Owner Tony Fernandes believes that Queens Park Rangers’ squad are starting to find their feet under Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

Fernandes was in attendance at Loftus Road on Tuesday evening, as the R’s picked up an impressive 2-0 win over Derby County.

Rangers’ performance in the contest was arguably their best under Hasselbaink’s stewardship so far, and Fernandes was pleased with his side’s efforts.

“Took my best friend to the real west london club,” he wrote on social media site Instagram. “As soon as he showed up cherry scored. Great night. Jimmy now finding his feet and players . Boys worked so hard.”

QPR have been inconsistent under Hasselbaink so far, but they have shown some serious signs of improvements in recent weeks.

Rangers have beaten Birmingham City and Derby comprehensively in their last two matches at Loftus Road, to move up to 11th place in the Championship table.

QPR are still nine points back from the play off spaces, but they appear to be laying some strong foundations for next campaign.

QPR’s next match comes against Brentford, where they will be looking to record three successive home wins for the first time under Hasselbaink’s tutelage.
