Roberto Martinez yet to meet with new Everton investor Farhad Moshiri

Farhad Moshiri is expected to inject a great deal of funds into Everton over the coming years.

Manager Roberto Martinez has told Everton’s official Youtube channel that he has not had a meeting with Farhad Moshiri yet.

Moshiri became Everton’s new majority shareholder earlier this month, and he is expected to invest a great deal of funds into the club over the coming years.

Everton are hoping that Moshiri’s investment can push them on to the next level, but Martinez says that he has not met with the Iranian billionaire to discuss the future yet.

“Not yet, no,” he said, when asked whether he had enjoyed any meetings with Moshiri. “At the moment nothing has been set in place in order to start that working relationship.

“I’m sure Mr. Moshiri is going to fall in love with Goodison Park and our fans, and from that point on we will have a working relationship.”

According to the Telegraph, Moshiri is yet to be convinced by Martinez, as Everton have had a disappointing campaign.

Although there has been signs of promise, the Toffees have not shown much defensive steel, and they are stuck in 12th place in the Premier League table.

The quality of Everton’s squad is currently not reflected by their league position, and it is believed that Martinez’s job is not entirely secure.

Martinez does have a good relationship with Everton chairman Bill Kenwright, though, meaning he is likely to have support on the club’s board.
