There wasn't much to choose between our previous pick and Jorg Albertz, but we gave the nod to the red-haired German, who proved to be a major hit at Ibrox between 1996 and 2001.
Albertz moved to Glasgow with the reputation of becoming a fans favourite and he didn't disappoint during five seasons in Scottish football. It took seven games for him to register his first strike, but after that, the goals flowed as he scored 76 times from midfield. It was a phenomenal return from that area of the pitch, but Albertz was aided by his jack-hammer of a left foot.
He made a habit of netting from long range and set pieces, with the most famous of all of his free kicks arguably coming against Celtic at Parkhead during his first campaign. He would score 13 times during his first 12 months, but that would prove to be his worst return, with at least 15 being netted in each of the following four seasons.
As far as honours were concerned, Albertz was part of the treble-winning team in 1998-99, with he also added another two league titles and two cup competitions to his collection.
