The Belgian was clearly on a high still from the weekend win over Crystal Palace.
Liverpool take on Manchester United this evening in the UEFA Europa League. It will be the first time the two teams have faced off in European competition and should prove to be an excellent encounter.
With that in mind Jurgen Klopp was putting his players through their paces at Melwood yesterday and there were plenty of interesting features from the session.
One of the main attractions from the session was Slovakian defender Martin Skrtel.
The experienced centre-back returned to training yesterday. He has not played since December after suffering a hamstring injury and is now pushing for a recall.
However, considering his lack of match fitness, it would be highly unlikely he is thrust into action in a game of this magnitude.
Meanwhile Belgian striker Christian Benteke has never looked happier in Liverpool training.
The summer signing has had his struggles at Anfield but he was the hero at the weekend against Crystal Palace. With that still clearly on his mind he wore a beaming smile for the entire session - as he hopes for a start against Manchester United this evening.
