Tottenham Hotspur ace Jan Vertonghen has travelled to Germany with the squad.

Injured Tottenham Hotspur ace Jan Vertonghen has travelled with the first team to Germany for Thursday's Europa League last 16 first leg clash with Borussia Dortmund.

Liverpool v Manchester United aside, the contest is the biggest at this stage of the competition, with German World Cup winner Lothar Matthaus commenting on Twitter that the match should be a final.

Tottenham are missing key players Eric Dier and Danny Rose through injury, and Dele Alli due to suspension, SkySports report.

The squad trained in Dortmund's Westfalenstadion last night in preparation for the fixture, and South Korean attacker Heung-Min Son suffered a Mario Balotelli style mishap as he struggled to put his training bib on properly.

Son is likely to have a big role to play in the match due to his experience featuring against Dortmund in the Bundesliga while with Bayer Leverkusen.

Harry Kane was present, and still wearing his mask, as a result of an injury suffered against Crystal Palace last month.
