When asked about the Hammers interest in him, Batshuayi said: “The rumors about West Ham? I do not know anything, it's not my problem.”
Batshuayi has certainly remained coy on any potential move to West Ham this summer, but it is well known that the East London club want to sign the Belgian international striker.
The Standard claim that Batshuayi is Slaven Bilic’s prime target for the summer transfer window, and the Hammers are said to be rivalling the likes of Tottenham, Newcastle and Crystal Palace for the striker.
Still, the Hammers are the most keenly interested party, but Batshuayi has admitted he has not heard anything about a potential summer departure from Marseille.
22-year-old Batshuayi is considered one of the best strikers in Europe, and is seen as a perfect signing for many clubs looking to bring in a forward for the long-term.
He started his career at Standard Liege, and since moving to L’OM at the start of last season, he has scored 28 goals in 67 games.
He has also managed two goals in two games for Belgium, and if West Ham do manage to bring him to the Olympic Stadium this summer, it could turn out to be a better signing than the one of Dimitri Payet.
