Jose Mourinho is set to return to management, but will it be at Manchester United?
Jose Mourinho has a knack for perfect timing it seems, sharing details about his future as Manchester United sank to defeat at Anfield.
The Manchester Evening News report: "He's confirmed in an interview with BT Sport - due to be shown this week - that he is set to begin work with a new club in July."
The identity of the club remains a secret, and Mourinho is not expected to reveal which side he will be managing until the season is over.
His most likely destination is believed to be Manchester United, with The Mirror reporting last month he has agreed a three year deal to take over at Old Trafford in the summer.
United's loss against Liverpool only heightens anxiety among supporters for current boss Louis van Gaal to be replaced.
The Dutchman has only one year left on his contract and the club are in sixth position in the Premier League, were knocked out of the group stages of the Champions League, and face Europa League elimination by arch rivals Liverpool after a 2-0 first leg loss at Anfield last night.
Mourinho is currently out of work after his shock firing by Chelsea in December after a poor run of results.
