Liverpool tied down Pedro Chirivella to a new contract on Wednesday.
The 18-year-old made his senior debut for the Reds against Bordeaux earlier this season, and has gone on to make four first-team appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s team.
The other three have been in the FA Cup, and he has yet to play in the Premier League, but the Spanish midfielder is held in high regard at Anfield.
Chirivella, who was signed from Valencia’s youth system in 2013, has agreed a new deal which ties his future down on Merseyside until the summer of 2020.
A Spanish Under-17 international, he is expected to kick on at Anfield in the final months of this season, growing into an established first-team player ahead of next term.
Klopp clearly rates the midfielder, and the contract proves he has a future at Anfield, and fans took to the news in a positive fashion.
When the deal was confirmed, Liverpool fans reacted on Twitter, with many claiming it was a great move to tie down Chirivella, who is seen as a great prospect who just needs guiding on the right path to become a truly top class star.
