Keown says Pochettino's biggest worry against Dortmund will be collecting injuries

Tottenham Hotspur and Borussia Dortmund go head-to-head this evening.

Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown has commented on Tottenham Hotspur’s upcoming clash with Borussia Dortmund in his latest column for the Daily Mail.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side are in Germany for the first leg of their Europa League last-16 tie and Keown believes this match is the first of a vital double-header for Spurs.

After facing the Bundesliga club Tottenham travel to Villa Park for a Premier League clash with Aston Villa and Keown feels victories in those two games could define their season.

“If I was in charge I would say let’s go for it in the next two matches,” Keown wrote. “If they do end up with a magnificent result (against Dortmund), that could really carry them into the game against Villa.”

However, Keown is also aware that Tottenham will not want to suffer any significant setbacks to personnel as they bid to close the five-point gap that currently exists between them and league leaders Leicester City.

“I think one of the biggest worries tonight for Pochettino is injuries,” Keown added.

The Tottenham manager has successfully rotated his squad on many occasions this season; however, there are key players who will feature in all the big games between now and the end of the campaign, regardless of the competition.

If they stay fit, Tottenham could be celebrating real success come May, but only time will tell if that is the case…
