West Ham United are due to face Manchester United in the FA Cup at the weekend.

Harry Redknapp has told the London Evening Standard that West Ham United should be naming their strongest possible line-up against Manchester United in the FA Cup at the weekend.

West Ham are pushing for a top four spot in the Premier League table, and they currently sit just one point behind the Champions League qualification spaces.

However, Redknapp feels that West Ham’s best hope of qualifying for Europe is still by winning the FA Cup, and he believes beating United should be Slaven Bilic’s side main priority.

The Hammers’ Premier League form has been superb and qualifying for the Champions League is not beyond them,” he said. “But Slaven Bilic can’t afford to throw the towel in this weekend because it is still odds against them finishing in the top four.

“They will go to Manchester United full of confidence, having been unfortunate not to win there in the League and knowing another good performance could easily be enough to reach the semi-finals at Wembley.”

West Ham have named strong line-ups throughout their FA Cup campaign so far.

The Hammers have cruised past Wolverhampton Wanderers and Blackburn Rovers in the competition, and they also narrowly beat Liverpool to make it into the quarter-finals.

Bilic has already gone on record to state that he would rather win the FA Cup than make it into the top four this season, meaning that it is expected that West Ham will name their strongest team at Old Trafford.

The winners of West Ham’s match against Manchester United will book their place at Wembley in the semi-final, which is set to take place in April.
