Darren O'Dea is impressed with Celtic youngster Kieran Tierney.
Former Celtic full-back Darren O'Dea is impressed with young prospect Kieran Tierney, hailing the teenager's attitude.
Tierney was yesterday handed a call-up to Gordon Strachan's Scotland squad, a reward for his progress in the Celtic first team this season.
O'Dea was asked of his opinion on Tierney by one of his twitter followers, and gave a glowing response.
Great young player with the perfect attitude. Think he's a big future. https://t.co/kQoF44bORP— Darren O'Dea (@odea_darren) March 10, 2016
Tierney is just 18 but already looks at home playing senior football. He has made 14 league appearances this season, 23 in all competitions including four in the Europa League.
Celtic already have him tied down until 2019, and hope they have their left-back for many years to come.
He has already shown his character but facing adversity just last season, bouncing back from a broken leg suffered for the development squad, to come back better than ever, and he is just one of a number of young talents which has the Scottish national side believing better days may finally be around the corner.
