Vito Mannone has sent a message on Twitter to Emmanuel Eboue, following the defender signing for Sunderland.
Eboue has linked up with the Black Cats on a short-term deal, signing until the end of the season on a free-transfer.
He has been on trial for a number for weeks, and Sam Allardyce has clearly been impressed enough to offer him a contract.
He is expected to slot straight into Sunderland’s team when they travel to Newcastle next weekend, in what is a massive game at the bottom of the Premier League table.
Eboue has been out of contract since the summer, when he left Galatasaray after four years in Turkey.
Prior to his spell with Gala, the 78-time capped Ivorian international played for Belgian club KSK Beveren, and Premier League giants Arsenal.
He spent the majority of his career with the Gunners, playing 214 times for the North London club, although he failed to win a trophy with them.
He was at Arsenal at the same time as Mannone was, and the duo have now linked up at the Stadium of Light, with Eboue attempting to help lead the Black Cats to survival.
