Sinton comments on Twitter after QPR beat Derby County

Former Queens Park Rangers winger Andy Sinton admits that he was impressed with the club's 2-0 victory over Derby County.

Former Queens Park Rangers midfielder Andy Sinton has taken to Twitter to praise the Hoops after they returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Derby County.

QPR fell to a disappointing 1-0 defeat away at MK Dons on Saturday afternoon, but a much improved performance saw the Londoners see off the challenge of the Rams at Loftus Road.

Tjarron Chery gave QPR the advantage during the opening 45 minutes, before Gabriele Angella added a second during the closing stages to seal an impressive win over the promotion hopefuls.

After the full-time whistle, Sinton, who now works for the club in an ambassadorial role, used social media to pay credit to the performance of the players just three days after their previous setback.

The win ensured that QPR ended the evening in the top half of the table as they matched wins for both Wolverhampton Wanderers and Nottingham Forest, who sit just behind them in 12th and 13th-place respectively.

On Saturday, QPR play their second home fixture this week as they welcome Brentford, who have lost five of their last six outings in the second tier.
