Sheffield Wednesday bounced back from Saturday's home defeat to Rotherham United to register a credible goalless draw at fellow promotion-chasers Brighton & Hove Albion.
The result keeps Carlos Carvalhal's team inside the top six for the time being, with Cardiff, Birmingham and Ipswich all failing to capitalise on the Owls' dropped points.
Wednesday made six changes for their trip to the South Coast, yet forged the better chances against a side who'd scored 10 goals in their last three home matches.
Recalled full-backs Liam Palmer and Joe Bennett were particularly impressive in shutting out the Seagulls, and have now gone 180 minutes without conceding against higher-placed Championship sides.
Palmer, a regular over the previous two campaigns, has seen his place snatched by summer signing Jack Hunt this season, while Bennett, a January arrival from Aston Villa, has struggled to dislodge Watford loanee Daniel Pudil so far.
But could the tide have now turned for Wednesday's stand-in full-backs?
We actually are very solid defensively with Palmer and Bennett playing, Bennett looks like a really good signing #swfc— James Reeves (@jamesreeves2000) March 9, 2016
Palmer and Bennett brilliant tonight. Joint mom for me. But gutted we didn't win, but a solid performance. #swfc— Ben (@owlsfan83) March 8, 2016
