Newcastle United may soon have a new manager at the helm, but their fans are none the wiser for now.
Reports continue to suggest that the Newcastle hierarchy are on the verge of making a decision regarding McClaren’s future, but for now there appears no clear direction one way or the other.

Newcastle’s board will know it is vital to remain a top flight club next season and yet for now they appear to be reluctant to pull the proverbial trigger, although Quinn appeared to suggest that they may be leaning more one way than the other.
“The silence at Newcastle is deafening,” he wrote on Wednesday afternoon, and when you consider the club have not come out to publically back their manager, one tends to agree with him.
Only time will tell what happens at St James’ Park between now and May, but McClaren will surely not be happy with the way things are being handled amid the ongoing reports.
