Gabriele Angella has told Queens Park Rangers official site that he enjoys playing alongside both Grant Hall and Clint Hill.
Angella has generally been partnered with Hall this season in the heart of QPR’s defence, but he was stationed next to Hill last night in QPR’s match against Derby County.
With Hall out injured, the experienced centre-back had to step into QPR’s starting line-up, and he excelled as QPR picked up a 2-0 win.
“I enjoy playing alongside Hally and Clint,” Angella said. “Clint is a little bit older than Hally, but showed how good he still is.“He was brilliant to play with and led by example.
“I thought the whole team defended well. It was a really good all round performance from everyone.”
QPR’s performance against Derby was hugely impressive, and they were rarely threatened throughout the match.
Angella and Hill complemented each other well, and they rarely gave Derby’s attacking players a sniff of a chance.
Angella also showed his quality going forward, as he scored his side's second goal in the closing stages, after Tjarron Cherry had put the R’s in front.
Hill and Angella are likely to be partnered again for the next few weeks, as Hall is set for a fairly lengthy absence (Get West London). The pair's next chance to impress could come at the weekend, when QPR take on Brentford.
